We’ve been telling you we have programming changes to announce after the first of the year, and here we are.
If you are a regular listener, you know how much I detest the corporate takeover of America. I hate what it’s done to workers, to our safety, to our independent media, to our health care, to our environment – to our entire way of life. Well, now I’m doing something about it.
February first is Liberation Day for the Malloy Show! We are leaving corporate-owned media behind and will be heard live exclusively on the NON-Profit Progressive Voices Network or at mikemalloy.com.
What does that mean? It means WE control the sponsors, WE control the content, and WE control the length of the breaks. And when I say we control the content – that means ALL the content. With no FCC breathing down our necks, that means the chains are off. I’m FINALLY uncensored. If I’m ranting about that BLEEPING Donald Trump or those BLEEPING Koch brothers, I can let it rip! And you can, too, when you call the program!
You can also say goodbye to endless commercial breaks for prostate enhancers, corporate pharmaceuticals, and get rich quick schemes. Instead, when we need to pause for a minute to help Molly spellcheck her essay on Howard Zinn – or go to the bathroom – you’ll hear great progressive content like “Hightower Radio”, “The Green News Report” and “Thom Hartmann On The News”.
Sad truth is, as crappy as they are, those awful commercials do help pay the bills, so we will be asking for your support as we shake free from the corporate machine. We’ll let you know when that link is up.
But rest assured the show will still be heard LIVE weeknights at 9:00 Eastern through MikeMalloy.com, ProgressiveVoices.com or TuneIn.com. We will continue videostreaming LIVE at Livestream and mikemalloy.com.

Writing for CNN in 1987, a friend at an Atlanta radio station told him there was an opening for a talk show host on the weekends. Malloy gave it a try and found a home. His radio experience includes WSB-AM in Atlanta, and WLS-AM in Chicago. Mike's nationally-syndicated program can be heard weeknigts on affiliates of the Air America Radio Network and on XM Satellite Radio.In addition to writing for CNN (1984-87) and CNN-International (2000), his professional experience included newspaper columnist and editor, writer, rock concert producer and actor.It is not difficult to pigeon-hole Malloy politically. Generally speaking, he is a traditional Democrat working to return the Democratic Party to its historic liberal roots. He is married, with six children and five grandchildren.
